AMD has officially released FSR 4.1 for Radeon RX 7000 graphics cards, and it unofficially works with integrated GPUs.
AMD shipped the neural upscaler earlier than planned — not July, but immediately. Owners of RDNA 3-based desktop Radeon RX 7000 GPUs can grab FSR 4.1 right away; it’s included “out of the box” in 300+ games. To turn it on you just need the latest driver package: AMD Software: Adrenalin Edition 26.6.2.
This official FSR 4.1 beats that leaked 4.0.2 in both image quality and speed, so yes, it’s not just a polish job. AMD also says they’re working to pare the algorithms down for full deployment on integrated silicon (RDNA 3/3.5). In practice, some users have already run the FSR 4.1.1 files on integrated GPUs — unofficially, i.e., not supported by AMD — and seen them work.
Looking ahead: in July the upscaler will arrive on RDNA 2-based cards and on Xbox Series X/S (same arch). The PS5? Probably out of luck, due to its custom RDNA 2 iGPU limitations.
