GTA 6 Was Created Without Using AI

Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick stated that Rockstar Games did not use AI in the development of Grand Theft Auto VI:

"Worlds are created manually. That's what sets them apart. They are built from scratch — building by building, street by street, neighborhood by neighborhood, not generated procedurally. That's what makes the entertainment truly magnificent."

At the same time, Zelnick noted that neural networks have found successful application in a number of other industries. And this has allowed for a reduction in time costs along with expenses.

Meanwhile, Take-Two announced a large-scale promotional campaign for the upcoming GTA VI, scheduled for the summer, and reiterated confidence in the game's release on PS5 and Xbox Series on November 19, 2026.

The publisher also reported on the current sales figures of its two most flagship games: Grand Theft Auto V and Red Dead Redemption 2.
