Amazon has renewed the series "Reacher" for a sixth season.
Amazon MGM Studios has confirmed that "Reacher" will return for a sixth season, handing the action series an early renewal while its fifth season is still in production.
The announcement follows a strong performance for the show's fourth season, which debuted on Prime Video on August 12, 2026. According to the studio, 66 million viewers worldwide watched the season during its first 28 days, placing it among the top five most-watched original projects in the streaming service's history. International markets accounted for 58% of that audience, with the United Kingdom, Germany, and Brazil among the countries driving the numbers.
Production on season 5 is underway in Toronto, Canada. The season adapts the twentieth novel in the Jack Reacher series, "Make Me," in which Alan Ritchson's character arrives in the remote town of Mother's Rest. There, he joins forces with private investigator Michelle Chang, who is searching for a missing colleague, and the two become entangled in a far-reaching criminal conspiracy. The season is being described as the franchise's most brutal and dark to date.
Filming for season 5 is set to wrap in December 2026, with Prime Video expected to release it in the second half of 2027. Season 6 is tentatively scheduled to premiere between late 2028 and early 2029.
