Amazon has begun filming the Tomb Raider series and has revealed Sophie Turner as Lara Croft.

Phoebe Waller-Bridge (Fleabag) and Chad Hodge (Wegward Pines) have begun filming the Tomb Raider series for Amazon, and Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones) has taken on the role of Lara Croft — the result can be seen in the photo. So this is our new tomb raider. Crystal Dynamics will contribute to the show, and fans will see both familiar characters and original ones: for example, Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter, Star Trek: Discovery) will play Lara's uncle, Atlas DeMornay, while Sigourney Weaver will transform into Evelyn Wallis — "a mysterious, ambitious woman seeking to exploit Lara's talents."
