After the Launch of ARC Raiders, Embark's Head Patrick Söderlund Leads Nexon's Board of Directors
Nexon indeed highly values the success of ARC Raiders: Embark Studios' boss Patrick Söderlund has been appointed as the executive chairman of the board of directors for the Korean-Japanese giant.
The veteran has been tasked with accelerating the implementation of the global strategy, transforming the creative direction, and leading the next phase of growth. In simpler terms, Söderlund will come up with various ideas for the benefit of Nexon, while its head, Lee Jung-hun, will implement these ideas.
Patrick and I fully share a common view regarding Nexon's transformation. He has built studios, attracted the industry's best specialists to collaborate, and released large-scale global hits. This is exactly what Nexon needs right now. Lee Jung-hun, Head of Nexon
Söderlund previously headed DICE, oversaw game development across the entire EA, and founded Embark in 2018 — the Swedish studio's first game in 2023 was The Finals. He also retains his position as the head of Embark.
