Adam Scott tried out for the horror film "Hellraiser: Hellworld 6"
There are worse problems than too much attention: Adam Scott — the man behind the hit series “Severance” now heading into a third season — also has a much-talked-about horror film, “Hokum”, about to land. Earlier on, though, he didn’t shy from trying to reappear in franchises where he’d already shown up.
In a recent chat Scott admitted that he went in for “Hellraiser: Hellseeker” despite having been in the fourth installment (e.g., his character had been killed off there). He figured — perhaps naively — that nobody would notice.
“I kind of hid behind some papers and thought: ‘If he doesn’t see me and they like my audition, maybe I’ll get the role.’”
He didn’t land the part. Funny, awkward, or a blessing in disguise? Take your pick — it’s one of those small detours that make an actor’s backstory less predictable.
