Achievements for the Terran Armada DLC for Starfield Hint at New Locations and Features Bethesda Has Kept Quiet About
The Terran Armada DLC for Starfield lands on April 7, but Steam already shows the new achievement set. A peek at the list — and the references point to things Bethesda didn't shout about: fresh places to visit and extra outpost-related mechanics.
One trophy that raised eyebrows is "This for That." Its blurb says you can "build and hand over an outpost to one of the factions." The original outpost system felt clunky to many players, so the idea of turning a player-built site into a faction asset could change how those bases matter — e.g., something closer to how Fallout 4's Nuka-Cola content handled player-built locations.
Then there's "Master of Magnetism," which unlocks after destroying a particular robot in a locale called New Babylon. That name hasn't popped up in trailers or official DLC blurbs; it might be a city, a planet, a stranded research ship, or an isolated station — i.e., the list of possibilities is wide. Since this is one of ~20 new trophies, New Babylon seems more than a throwaway name.
"Overclocked" ties into a new robot companion, Delta, who can be fully upgraded. Delta is described as morally fuzzy — not evil, not a saint — which brings to mind sarcastic droids like HK-47, only in Bethesda's tone. The existence of a customizable companion that can be enhanced was not advertised.
Bethesda has said Terran Armada and the Free Lanes update aren't the last patches or DLC. If you want surprises intact, steer clear of the Steam achievement list for now — it spills details that spoil both the DLC and, in a few cases, bits of the main game.
