A Ton of Content – Old School RuneScape Developers Unveil Roadmap to 2026

As part of Jagex's grand plans for the RuneScape franchise, timed to the game's 25th anniversary, the Winter Summit for Old School RuneScape revealed new content on the roadmap for 2026. Players can look forward to the first new raid in four years, an expanded Sailing system, new Leagues, a new boss, and much more.

The Sailing system is expanding. Now that we've had time with the first-ever new skill in OSRS history, expect even more content this year. This includes new quests, new content around the Red Reef, and a new Barracuda challenge.

Later this year (or early next year), Old School RuneScape will receive its first new raid in four years – The Fractured Archive. Although the release is still a ways off, developers are already calling it the most challenging in OSRS.

Coming very soon to the game is Deadman: Annihilation – a temporary game mode that will provide players with competitive PvP content. The event is scheduled to run from January 30th to February 21st. Conceived as the successor to the 2024 Armageddon variant, this mode will include changes to rifts, sigils, and chests to add variety this time around.

In April, Leagues IV: Demonic Pacts returns. This limited-time mode has received its own mini-site and a cinematic trailer. Players should prepare for updated combat abilities, new tasks, the return of Echo bosses, making pacts with demons, and new demonic rewards.

This summer, players will encounter Blood Moon Rises, a new Grandmaster-level quest that will also conclude the Morytania storyline. Expect a confrontation with Drakan himself, a new repeatable boss, the King of the Larvae, and new skilling activities.
