Tempest Rising Gets First Major Expansion, Adds Third Playable Faction

The first major expansion for Tempest Rising, titled The Veti's Wrath, has been released by the creators of the classic real-time strategy game.

At the center of the expansion is the introduction of a third full-fledged playable faction known as the Veti — a side of the conflict that fans had been waiting to see since the base game launched.

Alongside the new faction, the expansion delivers a large-scale story campaign consisting of 11 missions that explores the history of the Veti. The faction's fighters and technologies have also been adapted for online multiplayer.

The developers thanked the community for its many years of support and pledged to keep developing what they described as a modern classic of the RTS genre.
