"Stranger Things" Helped Dead by Daylight Overtake ARC Raiders in the Steam Charts

The asymmetrical horror game Dead by Daylight often makes the top 10 of Steam's weekly sales chart or hovers nearby. But this time, the project gathered its strength (and armed itself with a "Stranger Things" expansion) to knock the firmly entrenched ARC Raiders off the first spot. However, this is only the list of paid titles — it still didn't have enough power to beat Counter-Strike 2 in the overall ranking.

Also entering the chart were pre-orders for Nioh 3, the combat simulator Half Sword, and the climbing adventure Cairn. Its developers recently boasted that the game's sales have surpassed 200,000 copies.

The following projects updated or set their peak concurrent player counts for the week from January 27 to February 3:

  • Heartopia — 64,170 people.
  • Half Sword — 21,604 people.
  • Cairn — 14,996 people.
  • Code Vein II — 11,499 people.
  • Vampires: Bloodlord Rising — 2,882 people.
