CONTROL Resonant Release Scheduled for Q2 2026

Last month at The Game Awards 2025 ceremony, CONTROL Resonant was announced — a new paranormal action game from Finnish developer Remedy Entertainment. The debut trailer stated the game would be released in 2026, and now, from a recent financial report, we have learned the release window.

According to the published information, the game will launch in the second quarter, meaning between April and June. The exact date is still unknown. It will likely be announced during one of the upcoming presentations.

We currently expect CONTROL Resonant to be released by the end of the second quarter of 2026, which has significantly impacted our revenue forecasts. <...> Our baseline assumption regarding profit from CONTROL Resonant... Remedy will receive royalties from the Max Payne remake only in 2027, although the game could be released in 2026. According to our estimates, CONTROL Resonant will sell approximately 1.8 million copies in 2026, with that number growing to around 2.2 million in 2027. Thus, if the forecasts are correct, Remedy's revenue in 2026–2027 will exceed 120 million euros. <...> Conditions for high game sales are favorable, as the original Control sold over 5 million copies, and in total, more than 20 million people have played it across various platforms.

The events of CONTROL Resonant will unfold during a supernatural crisis in Manhattan, with Dylan Faden as the protagonist. After years of confinement within the walls of the Federal Bureau of Control (FBC), the hero is released by the Overseers themselves to battle a mysterious cosmic entity. Simultaneously, Dylan must unlock the potential of his abilities and uncover the fate of his sister, Jesse.

CONTROL Resonant is being developed for PC (Steam, Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series, without Russian localization.
