8BitDo Unveils Limited Edition Gamepad Collection for Tomb Raider's 30th Anniversary
The accessory maker 8BitDo has introduced a pair of Tomb Raider–themed controllers branded as the Tomb Raider 30th Anniversary Edition, with availability set for October 24, 2026. The limited collection comprises two distinct gamepad models that echo different periods of Lara Croft’s history.
The first is a retro-styled 8BitDo Pro 3 Bluetooth Gamepad, carrying a $79.99 price tag. Its cosmetic design draws on the original 1996 Tomb Raider and the Lost Valley setting, using a gray-green color scheme accented by a bright yellow, cross-shaped D-pad. Under the surface, the controller is outfitted with modern components including magnetic sensor (TMR) analog sticks and Hall effect triggers, which the company says offer drift protection.
The second release is the officially licensed 8BitDo Ultimate 3 Controller for Xbox, positioned as the range’s flagship and priced at $119.99. This model reflects the franchise’s contemporary era and ships with a themed charging dock crafted to resemble moss-covered stone ruins.
8BitDo’s designers intended the two controllers to form a cohesive collectible: visually complementary like Lara Croft’s twin pistols and meant to be displayed together as a unified set.
